PICABO-TWIN PEAKS MANAGEMENT AREA  (Mare)
Freezemark 04219128 Signalment Key: HF1AAAABB

Foaled: 2004
Capture Date: August 6, 2006
Twin Peaks HMA

"Picabo" is named after the small rual town of Picabo, Idaho which is keeping in our tradition of Idaho names for all our mustangs. She also was very shy, and would look at you and then look away very quickly when we first got her (peek-a-boo)!

We picked her up March 6, 2008 and began working with her for the Western States Mustang Challenge, on of the Extreme Mustang Challenges hosted by the Mustang Heritage Foundation. We had her for 90 days, and the we traveled back to California for the competition. She was really easy to work with since she has a try hard attitude. She learns very quickly, and we moved forward every day.

Picabo did very well in California, she place 4th in the conditioning, 16th in the In-hand, and 22nd over all out of 35. She continued to show the mustangs natural ability to learn and absorb when we were in California, and adjusted quickly to her stall (first time in one), to the crowds, and to the large arenas we were riding in. She shined like gold, and it was breaking my heart as the time drew closer and closer to take her to the adoption.

The adoption was s sucess and all mustangs found new homes. Picabo behaved like a dream once again in a huge arena, in the dark with bright lights and huge shadows. Our turn came and he bidding started immediatly at $750.00 she reached a high bid of $2200.00 and as tears streamed down my face I heard Patti Colbert yell, SHE'S GOING HOME!! To my amazement Don had suprised me and had bought Picabo back for me. She now resides here with us and has a home here for life!View Pedigree

Shoshone-Wild Springs HMA  (Mare)
Freezemark-04017623

Born: 2004
Captured: August 31, 2006
Pinto

"Shoshone" seemed a fitting name for this wild painted pony. It also once again keeps with out tradition of Idaho names, the Shoshone indians come from Idaho and still reside here today.

She is very curious and has an intense desire to know more about me! She is in the Mustang Heritage Foundation Incentive Trainer Program and came to our ranch on August 29, 2008.

Shoshone is AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION and needs a home that she can become a life long friend. I expect her to be a very willing mare, with a lot of trust in her heart. She is 15.1 hh, and should fill out to 1050 lbs. For a mustang she is a well built, large creature. She has good bone, big feet, beautiful markings, and a very pretty eye to her. So far she is smart and learning quickly. I expect her to be halter broke and accepting a saddle somewhere around 30 days training. She was on the range until she was 2 and has not been handled until now.

Come see her and take home a part of the true American West!! You can work with, live with, and breath with a true American Legend!View Pedigree
