Sorrel with two hind stockings, one front sock.
"Sage" was adopted by rachel as an orphaned weanling from a BLM Wild Horse Adotption in Salmon Idaho. Sage came off of the Challis Range. Rachel brought her home and worked diligently with her very first wild mustang, which is where her infatuation for them became reality. Since that fateful day, Rachel has ridden Sage, including bareback, has used her as a pasture mate and babysitter for the foals, has loaded her with the pack saddle, and has loved her every minute of every day. Sage is living proof that you can take these wild mustangs, bring them home, and with a lot of patience and diligence, make them a companinon for life. They will carry their share of the workload, and love doing it at the same time. In 2007 Sage was offically inducted into the Lucky T Ranch broodmare band, and bred for her first time. This is a big deal becasue we do not breed to produce babies, we breed to produce sound, athletic, dependable horses that you can use, work, and enjoy. With saftey, structure, disposition, conformation, and usually pedigree. We DO NOT normally breed grade mares, but since sage has the oldest, truest pedigree of Wild Mustang we made an exception. We did make her wait, and prove herself more than a typical QH mare. She has won our hearts and she will win yours as she produces some of the best, big boned, quiet, and smart foals we have ever produced! Watch for her foals every year!
