Reference Mare
Budslittlebritches aka Britches is no longer with us. We lost her in January of 2006 to a twisted Uterus, which is a freak occassion that our personal vet has only seen one other time. We were going to keep her last foal, a filly 2004 for a replacement, but after strong consideration we opted to sell her to a family to enjoy. We decided we wanted to truly concentrate on our Quarter Horses! So to keep or love for this great mare alive we decided to dedicate this page to her!
This mare had done it all from hunting camp, to arena work. She packed the novice and the pro around. Best of all this mare produced some outstanding babies! We made over $10,000.00 in selling her foals alone. Check out her detailed info for pictures of her five foals, and to see her pedigree. Don raised this great mare from a weanling and she will be in our hearts forever!

Reference Mare
Ricadee was one of our most remarkable mares. She came to us from renowned breeder Tom Robinson, a mentor of Rachels. We leased her hoping for a filly from her, because Tom was convinced she would die on his place. After having her first foal a Filly, we were convinced she was meant to be the foundation of the Lucky T broodmares. We were able to turn Tom to our point of view and became the proud owners of TJ Poco Ricadee.
Ricadee foaled three beautiful babies for us in her short life. She was an outstanding mare to ride, a natural mama, and the mare that always comforted me on a bad day. She was always there, was the mare that I waited for every year to have her foal. Including 2008 in a snow storm at 2:00 am. She was more than a horse, and more than a companinon, she was my friend.
Sadly we lost her in May 2008, she had a heart attack and was gone for good. It appeared to be instant, and she did not suffer. She left behind her a beautiful bay baby boy, who had stolen our hearts from the beginning. He shortly joined his mama though due to a broken leg in yet another untimely accident. Because time escapes us as human beings and we are always so sure their will be another day we sadly do not have a daughter to replace this amazing mare. We do have promises of a granddaughter out of one of her daughters, and we will look to the future for that one.
